At Biddeford Animal Hospital, we have always been committed to providing a safe environment in which you and your pets can receive treatment while feeling comfortable and secure. Our community, our people, and our pets are what is most important to us, and both your safety and your pets' well-being remain our number one priority as we deal with the risks around COVID-19.
If your pet is sick or scheduled for routine care, we are open and fully operational at this time. We will do everything we can to meet your needs pertaining to any service you need, and we have put the following into place for your safety and for ours:
- To maintain "social distancing," we will be implementing curbside drop-off for appointments beginning Monday, March 23rd. We will email you one day prior to your appointment. This email will include a place for you to fill out a patient history and email it back to us. Upon arrival: for dogs, come and grab a slip lead, which will be available outside our parking lot side door, slip it over your pet's head along with your usual leash and collar and give us a call. For cats in carriers, simply call upon arrival. One of our team members will come outside to retrieve your pet. After his or her exam, the Dr. will call you with exam results, recommendations, and treatment plans, if needed, then they will transfer you to a receptionist who will take your payment over the phone. Afterwards, we will bring your pet and any needed medications, etc to your car for you.
- Please take some time to wipe down your leashes and carriers with an alcohol based solution prior to bringing your pets in to see us.
- If you need to pick up food or medications for your pet, please call and we will process the payment over the phone and bring the medications and food to your vehicle when you arrive.
- For those concerned about euthanasia appointments, we will be making arrangements for clients to come into the building, make sure you still call from the parking lot at appointment time.
We are dedicated to providing you and your pet companions the very best in care, and we will continue to fulfill that promise to you regardless of external events. While we cannot be certain of how long this virus will cause disruption, we are certain that we will all get through this together, as a community.
We understand that Coronavirus poses risks, but we also know our pets need and deserve care during this time. Thank you for trusting us as your partner in your pets' healthcare.
