Common veterinary emergencies include, but are not limited to:

Painful, unable to settle down
Bleeding
Abnormal bruises
Difficulty breathing
Loss of appetite
Vomiting
Straining to urinate
Any traumatic injury
Exposure to excessive heat or cold (normal body temp is 99-102 degrees F)
